FABRICS & CERTIFICATIONS AT YELLO

Finding the right fabric for Yello abayas was a task we took very seriously. We knew we couldn’t claim 100% sustainability, as no fabric is perfect. But we found the next best thing: a blend of EcoVero and Cupro.

Our EcoVero and Cupro fabrics, sourced exclusively from EU suppliers, are crafted with respect for Mother Nature and our workers. They’re produced in socially responsible ways while avoiding overproduction, earning them multiple certifications that vouch for their sustainability and ethical production.

CUPRO

The “vegan silk” is not only natural and hypoallergenic but also sustainable and biodegradable. Durable and stretch-resistant, Cupro is a by-product of cotton production. Our Cupro has received the VEGAN V-LABEL and the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certifications.

Lenzing™ EcoVero™

A natural, renewable fabric that’s gentle on your skin and the environment. EcoVero has 50% lower emissions and water impact than generic viscose, it’s traceable from start to finish and biodegradable. To top it off, our EcoVero fabric boasts Lenzing certification, VEGAN V-LABEL certification, and the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification.

Lenzing Certification

This certification validates that the fibers used in our fabric are made using sustainable wood and pulp, sourced from certified and controlled sources. It has been certified by Lenzing AG, an Austrian company known for its high standard of environmentally friendly and socially responsible production of viscose.

VEGAN V-LABEL Certification

This is an internationally recognized, registered symbol for labeling vegan and vegetarian products. When you see this label, you can be assured that our fabrics do not involve any animal ingredients or animal testing. It’s our pledge to kindness in every stitch.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certification

This certification guarantees the safety of textiles and dyestuffs. It ensures our fabrics are free from harmful substances, including legally banned and controlled substances and chemicals known to be harmful to health. With this, you can rest assured that our abayas are safe and skin-friendly.
